About me

I was mostly a Full-Stack Developer with a backend focus and DevOps interests.

  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic background in Computer Science, with problem-solving skills (math knowledge, ability to research and generate formulas, excellent in algorithms – the core that takes different shapes in every programming language).

  • Solid coding skills in Ruby and PHP (+10 years) and overall software engineering skills. I have used many other programming languages including Java, Delphi, C, C++, Pascal, Basic, Prolog, Smalltalk, ASP, Perl, etc.

  • I have completed many short programs in C for practice and exercise and have given private classes on that subject.

  • Excellent background in Pascal with various programming techniques such as working with pointers, arrays, tree structures, lists, and files. Developed programs for amplifying WAV files with echo effects, etc.

  • Knowledge of desktop interface controls in Delphi, Windows API calls, Windows sockets, DLL functions, registry calls, DLL libraries, working with XML, FAT, and NTFS fragmentation.

  • Ruby on Rails (+4 years) experience with different Gems and testing tools.

  • Good knowledge of Java; I have completed many smaller programs for educational purposes. Tested RMI, sockets, AWT interface, IO, databases, etc. Did not have much need for it at work.

  • Proficient in PHP and MySQL, having worked with Zend Framework and CodeIgniter on IDEs such as PHPStorm, Eclipse, Zend Studio, NetBeans while collaborating with Git and SVN.

  • Good at lexical analysis, creating pattern-recognizing functions, sorting algorithms, and working with matrices.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills; my strong personal qualities and broad horizons were appreciated by my colleagues wherever I worked.

  • Official Mensa IQ Test score >154 to add some objective metrics (can vary under stress conditions).

  • DevOps mentality with a keen interest in backend development and infrastructure.

  • Used to practice chess, wrestling, and gymnastics; fascinated by nature.
